Hotel Chocolat Inventing Room - January 2021 Introduction This month has brought yet another box of Hotel Chocolat Inventing Room goodies for me to dive into, which is especially welcome to help beat the January blues. This month, we have been given raspberry pillow biscuits, chilli dark chocolate cocoa nibs, hazelnut chocolate spread, bread and butter pudding white chocolate sultanas and the usual selection of filled chocolates. Having finally tried all of them, I will tell you more about them and let you know what I think! Raspberry Pillow Biscuit Just incase you didn't already know about the pillow biscuits, they are relatively new range of biscuits consisting of a plain, biscuit base with two separable chocolate truffle squares on top. They are normally sold in a selection tin in a variety of flavours, however this one is a brand new flavour for us to try. Taking Down the Christmas Tree and Trying My Cupsmith Hot Chocolate Decoration Introduction So the 6th January has finally arrived! My fiance and I always stick with tradition when it comes to Christmas decorations and take them down on Epiphany. We also have a rule that chocolate decorations remain on the tree until then (this takes a lot of willpower!), and then we eat them as soon as the tree comes down. This is the family tradition my fiance grew up with, whereas when I was small, we were allowed to eat the chocolate as soon as it went onto the tree. I was often eyeing up the little Cadbury chocolate presents and caramel bells and helping myself to one! As you can imagine, it took a lot of persuading when I moved in with my fiance to adopt his tradition instead. However, it is very nice to have a decent haul of chocolate to look forward to, especially after Christmas has been and gone and the misery of January has set in.
