Hotel Chocolat Inventing Room - April 2021 Introduction The start of another month means another delivery of Inventing Room chocolates! I have been rather overwhelmed with chocolate this month as Easter nearly always falls in April, but I have still managed to try all of my Inventing Room goodies in between nibbles of Easter egg! We've seen several new ideas this month, such as the salted fudge bar and spiced cocoa nuts, as well as a new flavour of macaron suggested by an Inventing Room member, so this month's box in particular has been quite an exciting one to get stuck into. After last month's box's disappointing value and my general dissatisfaction with how things have been handed with the Inventing Room so far, I'm pleased to see that this month's box is better and that some improvements have been made in other areas. After lots of complaints were made, the price of the subscription has now been dropped slightly to £25. I still think that is a bit too much ...

Its the one time of year that we're actively encouraged to stuff our faces with as much chocolate as we can physically eat, once we've admired the often beautifully presented and decorated eggs. There are also so many kinds of eggs to choose from as well these days, coming in a huge variety of flavours and sizes. It makes a big change from when I was a kid, when there weren't that many widely available options, other than the big brands like Cadbury and Nestle. I'm genuinely amazed and impressed at the choice we have now, and have found it quite difficult this year to pick one! As Easter is a once a year special occasion, I like to treat myself to a luxury egg, but nothing outrageously expensive (so no £80 Hotel Chocolat Ostrich Eggs for me!).
