 Hotel Chocolat Inventing Room - May 2021 Introduction So yet another month has arrived and with it the next box of new chocolately inventions! This time we have the usual filled chocolates (including a chilli praline taste-off!), hazelnuts covered in 45% nutmilk chocolate, strawberries and cream drinking chocolate and peanut pillow biscuits. May's box was also supposed to include some 52% Ecuador milk chocolate "puddles" (Hotel Chocolat's own word for chocolate buttons), but sadly they were unable to supply these due to their melting tank breaking at the last minute. This is a real shame as I love this kind of chocolate and was excited to try these, but these things unfortunately happen from time to time and can't be helped. They have fortunately substituted the milk chocolate puddles, to make sure we don't go without, with the pre-existing salted caramel puddles, which was a wise choice considering how popular they are. Russell & Atwell "Golden Milk Twin Pack" Fresh Chocolates Review Introduction I don't know about anyone else, but I have never before tried fresh chocolate. Its only recently that I even knew it existed! Unlike regular "long life" filled chocolates, fresh chocolates are made with fresher ingredients and don't contain preservatives, meaning they need to be eaten quickly and often have to be refrigerated. As you'd expect, the taste and quality are supposedly reflected in this and therefore the chocolates are supposed to be better than regular ones. As I have finally got my hands on a couple of packs of fresh chocolates, I will be putting this idea to the test! I have chosen to try Russell & Atwell's offerings, party because they seem to be a new and upcoming chocolate company and therefore deserve plenty of business, and partly because the quality of their chocolates sounded top notch.
